On July 23, 2023, the Island Harbourview Incorporated Owners organized a regular event where families volunteered t0o visit elderly residents and distribute care packages on behalf of our Trust. This time, we collaborated with Trust committee member to visit the elderly of Shek Wai Kok and Cheung Shan Estate, where there are over 80 households consisting of elderly individuals living alone, elderly couples, and those with limited mobility.

The activity of visiting elderly residents and distributing care packages is a meaningful and heart-warming event. It helps children learn to respect and care for the elderly while bringing joy and care to the seniors themselves.

During the visits, parents and children engage in casual conversations with the elderly, showing concern for their lives and sharing heart-warming moments to enhance mutual communication. Each elderly resident is also presented with a care package.

Through these family volunteering activities, our Trust aims to strengthen emotional connections within families and cultivate children's sense of social responsibility and empathy.
