The Trust aims to further the education of children attending primary and secondary schools and universities. The Trust awards scholarships and provides financial support for school facilities improvement.
The Trust promotes and encourages volunteering services in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
• Since 2012, we have collaborated with about 30 social service groups.
• As of October 2024, we have an accumulated volunteer number of 6,600 and accumulated service hour of 42,990 hours.
• From 2012 to 2024, over $1.9 million had been spent on volunteer projects.
The Trust improves health and medical services through upgrading medical equipment, supports training of medical personnel and improving patient care.
The Trust has set up the Food & Resources Centre in order to address food poverty at grassroots level in Hong Kong.The first Food & Resources Centre was set up in January 2017 in Shek Wai Kok Estate, Tsuen Wan.
The Elderly Suport Centre distributes on a regular basis various foodstuff such as rice, oil, noodles and biscuits. During winter months, special apparel items are also gifted to the members. For the physically challenged, volunteers are organized to deliver items to the members’ home.
In response to the Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2004, the Trust and Crystal International Group Limited and its employees raised HKD4.472Million for disaster relief.
In hopes to combat global warming, the Trust, in partnership with Crystal International Group Limited, organises and sponsors Tree Planting programs in Qujiang District, Shaoguan City and other areas in China. Tea oil camellia trees used in tree planting will not be excavated for commercial purpose, but the oil can be harvested and used for various purposes. This provides good economic value to farmers and also achieves the purpose of environmental preservation.
• Since 2017, 3,500 acres of land have been planted with more than 350,000 trees,over RMB 2.77 million had been spent.
Since 2011, Charity Begins at Home has collaborated with various volunteer organizations to distribute gift packs to underprivileged elderly, especially those who live alone.
• In the past 12 years, we have held 22 events benefitting over 5,900 seniors in hopes to show our care and support.
• We have reached 10 districts, including: Southern District, Kowloon City, Kwun Tong, Sham Shui Po, Wong Tai Sin, Kwai Tsing, Sai Kung, Tsuen Wan, Yuen Long and Tuen Mun.
• Over HK$ 790,000 had been spent on the events in the past 12 years.
