On April 20, 2024, the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and Leung Sang Tak Secondary School cooperated with the Yuqing Charity Foundation to organize a door-to-door visit to the elderly with mobility difficulties in Shek Wai Kok Village and Xiang Shan Village. The purpose of this activity was to Elders in need in a community that cares and supports. This visit not only provided substantial material support, but more importantly, gave the elders a feeling of warmth and care. Young people interact with elders, listen to their stories and needs, and provide friendly companionship and assistance. Such activities are important to promote community cohesion, promote intergenerational communication and enhance the spirit of social mutual help. Through interaction and support, we hope to bring joy and warmth to the elderly, while encouraging young people to pay attention to the community and care for others. The cooperation in this event brings together the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, Leong Sang Tak Secondary School and Pok Oi Hospital’s former Premier Leong Sang Tak Secondary School to jointly contribute to community services. We hope that this kind of cooperation can continue and provide help and support to more people in need.
