The Yuk Ching Charity Trust successfully hosted its very first "Elderly Joyful Afternoon Tea Gathering" on May 14, bringing together 100 of our cherished elderly members for an afternoon filled with laughter, warmth, and vibrant energy.
Designed specifically for elderly individuals living alone and elderly couples ("two-elderly households"), this event aimed to provide a comforting space for senior citizens to step out of their homes, socialize, and enjoy a delightful afternoon. Our Charity hopes to offer these elders a wonderful opportunity to savor delicious dim sum while building meaningful connections with peers in the community.
The atmosphere was incredibly lively throughout the event. In addition to the delicious tea and treats, Our Charity organized an exciting lucky draw session. The prizes brought immense joy and excitement to the room, putting bright, radiant smiles on the faces of all the winners.
As the gathering drew to a close, a particularly touching moment unfolded. The Chairman and Trustees of the Yuk Ching Charity Trust personally presented a beautiful carnation to each and every elderly participant, along with heartfelt blessings. This small gesture symbolised deepest respect and ongoing care for the community's seniors.
The Yuk Ching CharityTrust remains dedicated to supporting vulnerable groups in our society. Moving forward, we will continue to organize impactful initiatives to strengthen the community support network for elderly individuals living alone and elderly couples, ensuring their golden years are filled with happiness dignity and companionship.
