"Shaoguan Charity Walk 2026" Concluded Successfully:

Three Decades of Dedication to ESG Green, healthcare and education.

Since first setting foot in Qujiang District, Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province in 1997 to launch charity activities, Crystal International Group Limited ("CIGL") and Yuk Ching Charity Trust ("YCCT") have expanded their charitable footprint in the region for nearly thirty years. From March 21 to 22, 2026, the annual "Shaoguan Charity Walk" set sail once again, deeply rooting the corporate commitment to sustainable development and care for the community into this land.

This event fully demonstrated the strong cohesion of the CIGL family across regions. Chairman Mr. Kenneth LO, Vice-Chairman & YCCT Chairman Mrs. Yvonne LO, YCCT Trustees Mrs. Isabelle LO and Mrs. Selina LO along with other management members, participated in person. The volunteer team included colleagues from Hong Kong Headquarters, DCKG, YJ, CMZS, and YD, joined by guests, teachers, and students from Hong Kong Law Ting Pong Secondary School and Shunde Luodingbang Middle School, as well as local government representatives and Qujiang District volunteers.

Community Tree Planting: Intergenerational Afforestation,

Commitment to a "Net Zero 2050" Green Future

On the afternoon of March 21, the first stop of the "Shaoguan Charity Walk" was held in Beiyue Village, Zhangshi Town. CIGL Chairman Mr. Kenneth LO and CIGL Vice-Chairman & YCCT Chairman Mrs. Yvonne LO led colleagues from Hong Kong Headquarters, DCKG, YJ, CMZS, and YD, together with teachers, students, and volunteers, to plant 6,000 moso bamboo seedlings with high carbon sequestration capacity. CIGL has been promoting ecological tree planting projects for 18 years since 2007, with over 3,900 acres of afforestation and forest quality enhancement completed in Qujiang over the years.

CIGL Chairman Mr. Kenneth LO emphasized in his ceremony speech: "All things need fertile soil to take root. The growth of a tree is inseparable from fertile soil; similarly, Crystal's green tree planting project cannot succeed without the support of all parties." He added: "Seeing more than 400 partners here today deeply moves me. Among you are the backbone of CIGL and the future of our society. This is a touching scene of intergenerational vitality. Every seedling we plant today is breathing for the Earth. By stepping outdoors today, everyone is standing at the forefront of ecological protection."

Hope Vision Project: 18 Years of Medical Benevolence,

Lighting Up 4,000 Families

On the morning of March 22, the journey moved to medical assistance. Guests from CIGL and YCCT, along with volunteers, visited the Qujiang District People's Hospital to attend the appreciation ceremony for the "Hope Vision Project." Since 2009, YCCT has worked closely with the Qujiang District Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Qujiang District Health Bureau, the Qujiang District People's Hospital, and the Qujiang Volunteers Association to fully subsidize free cataract surgeries for patients in financial difficulty. The project has entered its 18th year, cumulatively helping nearly 4,300 patients regain their sight.

After the ceremony, guests from CIGL and YCCT, led by hospital representatives, expressed their regards to the recovering elderly. The elderly showed joyful smiles after regaining their sight, and guests inquired about their recovery while offering blessings. Witnessing patients regain the colors of life not only proves the project's tangible results but also reflects the long-term commitment of CIGL and YCCT to improving local medical and living standards.

Mainland Scholarship / Subsidy Project:

29 Years of Educational Support, 16 Years of Nurturing Talents

After completing the Hope Vision Project activities, the team immediately proceeded to Qujiang Middle School for the Scholarship/Subsidy Presentation Ceremony. The support for Shaoguan education from CIGL and YCCT began in 1997 with the Project Hope school program in the area, and has spanned 29 years with a total investment of over 12 million RMB. Since being optimized into the Scholarship/Subsidy Project in the 2010/11 academic year, the project in Qujiang has reached its 16th year, cumulatively subsidizing over 4,876 individuals and witnessing the graduation of 102 university students.

During the ceremony, YCCT Chairman Mrs. Yvonne LO presented the scholarship donation check to the Qujiang District Education Bureau. This was followed by the attending guests from CIGL and YCCT personally presenting certificates to student representatives. In the interactive session after the ceremony, guests shared their life experiences. During the session, a Grade 12 student who has been supported for many years approached Mrs. Yvonne LO to present a handmade gift as a token of gratitude for the years of support and companionship from CIGL and YCCT, creating a heart-warming scene.
