The Wan Chai Kai-fong Welfare Association has been serving the elderly in the community for many years and currently has around 400 senior members.
On 7 February 2026, as the Lunar New Year approached, the Yuk Ching Charity Trust once again offered generous support by donating 400 year-end gift packs, enabling the Wan Chai Kai-fong Welfare Association to deliver festive blessings to elderly residents in the district. The gift packs were well-stocked with rice, cooking oil, noodles, canned food, and a variety of daily necessities, with the aim of providing seniors with tangible care ahead of the New Year.
At the distribution ceremony, the Chairperson and Trustee of the Yuk Ching Charity Trust attended alongside Ms. Lam Pui-yut‑ka, Chairperson of the Wan Chai Kai-fong Welfare Association, and personally presented the gift packs to each elderly participant. The seniors were all smiles upon receiving the packs, and many expressed their gratitude on the spot, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. The event not only added to the festive spirit of the Lunar New Year but also allowed the elderly to feel the community’s support and blessings.
A representative of the Yuk Ching Charity Trust expressed hope that the 2026 year-end caring initiative would bring warmth to seniors during the traditional festival and continue to promote a spirit of mutual support within the community. The Wan Chai Kai-fong Welfare Association also noted that it will continue expanding elderly services in the district, striving to enhance the quality of life of senior residents and make their later years more fulfilling and secure.
