Meizhou Municipal Rural Work Leading Group announced the winners of the 2024 Meizhou Poverty Alleviation and Charity Awards, and Yuk Ching Charity Trust proudly received the Bronze Award. This honor recognizes the Trust’s long-standing commitment to philanthropy and rural revitalization.

Since 2023, Yuk Ching Charity Trust has launched the Hope Vision Project in Jiaoling County, Meizhou, offering free cataract surgeries for elderly patients. The project adopts advanced phacoemulsification technology and is implemented by Jiaoling County People’s Hospital, with support from the local Youth League Committee, Health Bureau, and volunteer associations.

To date, the program has successfully completed over 600 cataract surgeries, benefiting elderly residents and investing more than RMB 940,000. This initiative has significantly improved the quality of life for beneficiaries and strengthened local medical charity services.

The Meizhou Poverty Alleviation and Charity Awards aim to honor organizations and enterprises that have made outstanding contributions to consolidating poverty alleviation achievements and promoting rural revitalization. Yuk Ching Charity Trust’s recognition reflects the trust and support of society.
