29 volunteers visited 70 elderly households on 15th of September in Ko Yee Estate and Lei Yue Mun Estate. These are either single resident or couples households. Though weather was poor due to the effects of serious typhoon Mangkhut, our volunteers delivered gifts with love and care to the elderly.

16 volunteers participated on 22nd of September. Starting off from Tsui Ping Estate in Kwun Tong, they visited low-income families in Sau Mau Ping Estate, On Tat Estate and On Tai Estate. The newly built On Tat and On Tai Estates do not have efficient transportation services, schools and sufficient community facilities, therefore causing inconvenience to residents.

It was the first weekend after the destruction from typhoon Mangkhut, and transport had not been recovered. Volunteers experienced the transport problems of the residents in their everyday lives.

Yuk Ching Charity Trust prepared special gift packs with vouchers, water bottles and snacks. Parents and children were delighted to receive these gifts.
