Under the influence of COVID-19, Student Leap Forward Award Scheme was cancelled last year. However, through concerted effort, the Scheme was successfully organized in Tai Po District and Tuen Mun District in 2020-2021 School Year.

This year, 268 students from 42 schools in Tai Po District were benefitted from the Scheme. The prize-giving ceremony was held on 15th May at Tai Po Old Market Public School (Plover Cover). To avoid mass gathering, one student representative from each school attended the physical ceremony while other awardees remained at their own school to attend the online ceremony.

Our Chairman and the Chairmen of School Heads Association commended the awardees for their improvement in academic results, conduct, social services, sports and the arts. They also encouraged the awardees to continue to strive hard, because every small improvement, through sustained effort, can bring a big impact. Students were delighted to receive their certificates, particularly the students from special schools, who may not have a lot of chances to receive awards. After the ceremony, principals took photos with their students. We hope the prize-giving ceremonies would be a happy memory for every awardee.
